Chris Bryant’s
This place, you guessed it, has been run by Chris for over 30 years and is the perfect spot to pick up entry level guitars. There’s always a good mix for second hand and new kit to choose from and feel free to offer up your old ones to get some cash.

Hanks
While the place has been open to the public as Hanks for the passed six years, takes the title for London’s longest standing guitar shops once taking into account all it’s previous owners. Situated over three floors, you come here for a bit of everything. Two floors worth of acoustic, one vintage and the other electric. Something for everyone.

Regent Sounds
Chris, the owner of Regent Sounds, is the front man to what could be known as a landmark of musical history. Opened in 1956 and used as a publishers and comic book store, it was in the 1980s when it became a studio to be used by the greats including The Kinks, Hendrix and many others. Today, the quality of guitars they stock represents such greatness with top brands – primarily Fender and Gretsch – lining the walls.

Macaris
Meeting cousins Steve and Anthony was like being read the Macari family history book. The start of the story was when their grandfather set up shop in the 1950s, soon followed by their fathers Larry and Joe who really go it going. Today the pair stand strong with two Macari shops (the other one is on Charing Cross Road) that act as a sweet shop for instruments. While their one on Denmark Street is mainly for guitars, the other expands their offerings to include everything from violins to didgeridoos.
